LAS VEGAS – Firefighters are
trying to reach four window washers reported stranded outside the 35th
floor of a Las Vegas Strip high-rise hotel.
It wasn't immediately clear how the workers became stranded outside the Vdara Hotel.
That's one of several hotels in MGM Resorts International's big CityCenter complex.
Clark County spokeswoman Stacey Welling says Clark County and Las Vegas firefighters were summoned a little before noon after the workers reported their support basket was slipping.
Welling says firefighters were rigging for a high-angle rescue team to reach the workers from the hotel roof.
Plans call for putting each worker in a harness to be lowered one-at-a-time to the roof of a third-floor landing area.
